Anne-Marie Fafard, B.Sc.P.T.
1996 Anne-Marie received her undergraduate degree from McGill University, Montreal. Following graduation, she worked both in private practice and in a hospital setting treating orthopaedic, neurology, cardio-respiratory, oncology and geriatrics patients. 1997 Anne-Marie passed her Physiotherapy National Exam. 1998 Anne-Marie took her post-graduate training to treat pelvic floor dysfunction and urinary incontinence. 1999 Anne-Marie did a 6-month mentorship in pelvic floor rehabilitation in Calgary, Alberta, with Sonja Bray, an experienced physiotherapist in the field. Since then, she focuses her practice on the treatment of pelvic floor function. 2001 Fafard Physiotherapy was founded and offers private one on one physiotherapy session for the treatment of pelvic floor function, myofascial pain syndrome, preparation to delivery and recovery post partum. It also offers pelvic floor exercise classes, pre natal or post natal classes and delivery support services. Anne-Marie believes in continuing education and has received training in: "the de Gasquet postural and breathing method" taught by Dr. Bernadette de Gasquet, a physician and yoga teacher from Paris, France, and from the "Myofascial Release Approach" taught by John Barnes from the united states.
